Associated Country Women of the World

ACWW is the largest international organisation for rural women. It has a uniquely down-to-earth approach, offering mutual support, friendship and practical help to its members. The organisation has a membership of nine million through its 365 Member Societies in over 70 countries. The CWA of NSW is one of these Member Societies.

Individual members of CWA of NSW can join ACWW by sending their details and a payment A$40 for one year (or A$100 for three years)* to CWA of NSW State Office.

Branches and Groups can apply to become Category IVa Societies by completing this form: http://www.acww.org.uk/assets/society-membership-application-form-2016-new.pdf. Supporting documentation is not required because CWA branches are well known to ACWW. Completed forms should be sent with payment of A$60* for one year to State Office.

*(Prices for 2017)

Please make cheques payable to "CWA of NSW". The ACWW membership year runs from January to December so it’s best to send payments in October to allow time for processing and transferring to London.

The ACWW provides finance for small projects which are having a big impact in needy communities around the world. These projects are varied but the end result is the improved lives of women and their families. Some projects include vegetable gardens to feed families, milking cows provided to give an income to women, health education and water projects.
